Plus we will be participating in the Western Maryland Goes to War Event! Many of our men and women went to war but those that stayed worked to feed an army. Evergreen Heritage Center would like to pay tribute to that work here on the home front to support the war effort. As a matter of necessity, agriculture expanded its economic role to help feed the US army as well as our allies. Visit Evergreen Heritage Center to learn and experience the role farming played in World War I.
