Working with the Manager of Science Education and other staff to provide hands-on environmental field trips at the EHC and at school sites for students pre-kindergarten to high school. Candidate should feel comfortable teaching a variety of audiences and working outside, have a solid knowledge of basic science concepts, and be proficient in Microsoft Office and internet/email. Candidate will be organized, have strong writing skills, attention to detail, and be willing to work proactively to prepare for teaching. Minimum requirements are a college degree in education, biology/ecology, or related field; ability to work from home (including computer and internet access); reliable transportation; and background check. Position is part-time independent contractor with approximately 20 hours/week; pay commensurate with experience and level of responsibility. Additional hours may be available during our busiest field seasons and depending on the candidate’s areas of expertise. A candidate who can work flexible hours including infrequent evening/weekend programs is preferred.
