The Miners’ Coal Museum is the trailhead for a 1-mile coal and nature trail as well as the first exhibit completed of the former coal camp here on the property. The other exhibits include a boarding house replica, blacksmith shop and mine opening. The museum includes artifacts, maps, and photography.
The trail begins at the Miners’ Coal Museum at the former location of the Miners’ Mule Stable at Evergreen. Visitors learn about how coal was mined for the family and by the coal companies. There are 20 historical and environmental designated trails stops.
