Where is Evergreen?

The Evergreen Heritage Center is located at 15603 Trimble Rd NW, Mt Savage, MD 21545 in a picturesque setting adjacent to the Great Allegheny Passage and Western Maryland Scenic Railroad. Evergreen is ten minutes from Frostburg, twenty minutes from Cumberland, and roughly two hours from Washington D.C., Baltimore, or Pittsburgh.

From I-68 heading west: Take Exit 39 (US 40-West) and turn left onto US-40W, then right onto MD-638, right onto MD-36 (Mt. Savage Rd.), right onto Slabtown Rd., and then right onto Trimble Road.

From I-68 heading east: Take Exit 34 (MD-36) and turn left onto MD-36N, right onto US-40 E, left onto MD-638, right onto MD-36 (Mt. Savage Rd.), right onto Slabtown Road, and then right onto Trimble Road.

What are Evergreen’s hours?

Evergreen is open to the public for summer camps, programs, special events, group tours, and by appointment only. For more information about our hours, call 301-687-0664.

Is Evergreen accessible?

Our Foundation strives to ensure that Evergreen is accessible to the extent possible for historic sites and that its newly built facilities, including its Learning Center and Green Restroom Facility, meet with the accessibility requirements defined by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
