After the 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐥𝐛𝐥𝐚𝐳𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝟐𝟓𝟎 𝐆𝐮𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐝 𝐇𝐢𝐤𝐞𝐬 (10:00-11:00 a.m.) on the new Forest Evolution Trail, stick around for a fun celebration of America 250! 𝐖𝐞’𝐫𝐞 𝐣𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝟐𝟓𝟎𝐭𝐡 𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐚𝐫𝐲!
𝐕𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐬 𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐥𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐞𝐞 𝐦𝐮𝐬𝐞𝐮𝐦𝐬 which include the Farmhouse Museum – originally built c.1780 by Edward Grimes a Lt. in the Revolutionary War and expanded in 1822 and c.1880; The Pennsylvania Bank style Barn also built by Edward Grimes c. 1780, which will feature local vendors on the upper level and the Agriculture Museum in the lower level with a new Exhibit focusing on Edward Grimes and the history of the Mount Savage Area in the late 1700’s; and the Coal Camp featuring a blacksmith shop, recreated mine opening, boarding house, and small mine museum.
