Description
Fringed Sedge (Carex crinita) is an excellent choice for wetland restoration and rain gardens. The seeds of Fringed Sedge provide a food source for a variety of wildlife such as wetland birds and even small mammals. Its foliage provides shelter for smaller mammals and amphibians. Fringed Sedge is also an excellent choice for preventing stream bank soil erosion.
