Description
Garden Phlox (Phlox paniculata), also called Fall Phlox, grows upright with showy clumps of flowers that last all summer long. Garden Phlox typically has light to dark pink flowers, but can have white flowers in rare cases. This has become a popular flower for gardens, because of its long bloom time, vibrant flowers, and attractiveness to pollinators. Dames Rocket, an invasive species, is often mistaken for Garden Phlox but they can easily distinguish by counting petals–Phlox has five while Dames Rocket has four.
