Description

Deciduous shrub that can tolerate flood conditions and standing water for short periods of time. Does not do well in dry soils. Great candidate for rain gardens or wetland restorations. Grows up to 12’ tall and 8’ wide. Flowers grow in small globes and attract many different bee and butterfly species. Although flowers and seeds are consumed by many different bird species, the foliage is poisonous to livestock and other animals.
