STEM
Evergreen’s award-winning STEM education programs connect students to current events and issues through experiential learning. Programs utilize Evergreen’s unique location and site to introduce students to the wonders of Western Maryland. Programs are designed to meet current Maryland curriculum and environmental literacy standards, which are also perfect for meeting Green School Certification requirements.
Social Studies
EHC’s farm is the perfect location to travel back in time and learn about the history of Western Maryland and Appalachia. Visit our three museums, while getting a hands-on taste of just what it was like to preserve your own food, work as a coal miner, and more! These full and half-day field trips are also tailored to current social studies standards.
Art
Immerse yourself in the world of art with our Nature of Arts Program. This multidisciplinary program bridges the gap between art, science, and more by providing students with hands-on opportunities to express themselves. Tailored to third, fourth, and fifth grade students, the Nature of Art provides each grade their own specialized project.
Summer Camps
Each summer, Evergreen hosts camps for kids aged 6-13. Campers can expect to spend time outside exploring our beautiful property during these full-day weeklong experiences. Camps are focused on art, nature, and Appalachian history.

These field trips are led by you in conjunction with our resources tailored to current Maryland curriculum standards.
