Description
Obedient Plant (Physostegia virginiana) thrives in wetter soils and will spread prolifically through stolons, making this a great plant if you need to fill in large planting areas. Obedient Plant’s pink blossoms produce a lot of nectar during late summer, which corresponds nicely for pollinators heading into winter. Its individual snapdragon-like flowers can be turned or bent and will stay in their new position; a unique trait that gives this plant its name. Obedient plant tends to be deer resistant.
