Climate Resilience Initiative
A new initiative for Evergreen in 2024–the Climate Resilience Initiative will focus on reducing the impacts of climate change in Allegany County. At the heart of this initiative remains the mission of education, conservation, and preservation. Through educational programing, demonstrations, workshops, etc. Evergreen will provide students and community members with the knowledge and skills to address climate change right in their own backyards. In conjunction with Allegany College of Maryland and ASTAR AmeriCorps, Evergreen will be addressing these issues on-site and within the community.
